Unlocking STEM With ChatGPT

“To teach is to learn twice” goes the saying. It’s certainly true for TinkerTech student Kaz Keller who is now running workshops on ChatGPT. At just 12 years old, Kaz started like any other student at TinkerTech, curious to learn and explore the fascinating world of STEM. And now, he has taken the skills he learned at TinkerTech to offer his workshops on ChatGPT.

How TinkerTech Inspired Creativity

“My time at TinkerTech camps really sparked my creativity and showed me that anyone can turn their ideas into reality,” said Kaz. “The skills I learned like 3D modeling and laser cutting were cool. We also had workshops on business skills. It inspired me to start teaching ChatGPT classes to people of all ages, not just students. I enjoy helping people understand what it can be used for and show them how cool technology can be.”

“While setting up useful workshops that give people confidence with ChatGPT, Kaz and his Dad have set up a fantastic father-son project. They are clearly both having fun connecting and working together on these workshops, which is wonderful. I’m looking forward to hearing what they do next!” added Claire Comins.

TinkerTech believes that the best way to learn STEM is by creating and doing, and that’s why activities focus on hands-on, real-world projects that teach students STEM skills while keeping them engaged and excited. As a result, TinkerTech students leave camps feeling confident in their abilities and eager to share what they’ve learned with others.

“We want students to learn something in a TinkerTech class and be so excited about it that they want to share it,” said TinkerTech CEO Claire Comins. “TinkerTech camps are all about encouraging an understanding of STEM in the real world. I was delighted to see Kaz taking the initiative to share his understanding of Chat GPT with students of all ages – from young children to grandparents.”
