Introducing the faces of tinkertech

We’re excited to introduce a new teacher for our edtech camps in San Anselmo and at the Marin Makerspace this summer. Ellie Buehler is an experienced teacher who is passionate about engaging the next generation of engineers to discover STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) through hands-on projects.

A graduate in electrical engineering from MIT, Ellie was an XBox Design Engineer at Microsoft before she decided to specialize in teaching. Ellie has run an engineering class for girls, taught a robotics program in Berkeley High School, and ran a Fab Lab for K-12 students in New Orleans before moving to Marin County with her family. This year, she has been teaching coding, robotics and design engineering at TinkerTech’s classes in Venetia Valley and San Domenico schools.

Ellie loves teaching a mix of engineering challenges and programming skills. This summer she’ll be inspiring students with dynamic projects including programming micro:bits, platformer games in Scratch, building a model sailboat and a car for a Pinewood Derby.
