Countdown To The County Fair

Marin County’s Maker educators are joining forces for some exciting hands-on activities in the Marin Makers booth at the County Fair.

Join us next week! The Fair is at the Civic Center fairgrounds, San Rafael from Thursday, June 30 to Monday, July 4.

All activities are outside at this year’s fair. You’ll find us under and around the tent by the Big Ferris Wheel. The Maker Activities are volunteer-run and will be on every day, 10 am to 6 pm.

Take part in the TinkerTech challenge to build the best type of structure to withstand an earthquake on our Quake Table.

See where the art takes you on the Giant Solar art spinner by Brian Kaplan at Mobile Maker Club.

Experience the power of the Giant Makey Makey with a knife switch that turns on a light by Sara Bolduc at the Marin Makerspace.

Marvel at the Giant Sunflower by local architect and artist Daniel Castor.

Get hands-on making at the Maker Cart and take part in the community art Earth Wheel by Geo Monley from Tam Makers.
