Community Events Are Back!

Good to chat with so many Marin families at the Marin Camp Fair and Old Mill School in Mill Valley this month. Students had fun making scribble-bots, light-up rockets, and putting some remote-controlled micro:bit rovers to the test.

Next community events:

  • Thursday, March 31 – Venetia Valley School Open House, 5-7 pm

  • Friday April 15th and Saturday April 16th – San Anselmo Egg Hunt

  • Wednesday, May 25th – Edna Maguire School, Mill Valley, Makers Night

We will have free tinkering activities and can answer any questions you have about our STEM camps for this summer.

Meantime, we are busy preparing for our Design Camp for ages 11-3 at the Marin Makerspace starting next week. TinkerTech Teacher and electrical engineer Ellie Buehler will be working with Makerspace director Sara Bolduc to teach students the skills they need to design for the 3D printer, laser cutter and more. This design and entrepreneurship camp is set to be a wonderfully creative and inspiring week, with scholarships made possible by a grant from the charitable foundation Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs.

Quicklinks here for our Marin camps. Registrations for San Anselmo (registration open now) and Larkspur (registration goes live April 1) are on the Rec websites – just type TinkerTech into the program or activity search bar. For half day camps at Super Cool Summer School at Larkspur this year, TinkerTech is paired with Soccer and Archery – should be a great combination!
