Collaboration & Creativity
It’s official – online camps are fun! Week 2 of Imagination Camp was a hive of digital creativity. Students met every day to code Scratch games and create Stop Motion animations. Small group classes with live teaching, screen share and chat, mean students make fast progress and we were happy to see everyone super-engaged in what they were creating.
We’d been curious to explore group collaborative projects in this virtual classroom. Animation teacher Leslie took on the challenge and positioned her iPad so everyone could see what she was filming using the app Stop Motion Studio. With her team of co-creators taking turns to direct the action, the story of a humble coffee bean took on its energy. Watch it here and enjoy some of the other movies created by our prolific 2nd-4th grade campers. Also below, is Coding Teacher Xochitl’s demo Scratch game created in the camp. We challenge you to play it and see how far you can get!
The next TinkerTech Imagination Camp starts Monday, July 20th.
Schedule (in PT): 9:30-10:30 Coding, 10:45-11:45 Animation, 12:30-1:30 3D Printing.
Students can now join for one, two, or three hours of classes a day.
